Pilot Vietnam. Flew KC-135’s in the top-secret squadron called 903rd Refueling Squadron of the 9th Strategic Wing of the 9th Air Force. Our primary mission was refueling the SR-71 Spy Plane. I refueled all the century series jets. The most dangerous refuel in my opinion was the B-52 that bombed North Vietnam leading to the final end of the war. We formed up over the Philippines 50 KC’s and 50 B-52’s at the same time. 100 planes tying to refuel was not fun. Left Air Force after 10 years, then airline captain.
