Richard Congdon Bares

I graduated from Norwich University in ‘66 and was commissioned as 2nd LT in the U. S. Army. 8 months of helicopter flight training, then a year in Viet Nam flying Loaches, Hueys and Cobras. One year at Ft. Hood: 3 months as State Dept. Escort Officer, 3 months as lead on the Helicopter Flight Demonstration Team (ANACDUTRA), 4 weeks on the Hurricane Camille recovery program and then released from active duty. 13 year later, I joined the CO National Guard and retired at age 60. Currently attending as many Patriot Guard services as I can.
