Wesley E. Clements

Born in Russell Kansas in 1953 to Niland and Patricia Clements. Grew up hunting and fishing in and around western Kansas. We moved to Westminster CO and graduated from Westminster High School in 1971. I entered the Navy in 1971 and was assigned to the USS Oriskany CVA 34. I was assigned to W Division (Special Weapons) where I was eventually promoted to GMT-2 (E-5).
I spent an 11 month tourTo Viet Nam where we took part in operation Line Backer II. My second cruise to Viet Nam was cut short and we were sent to the Indian Ocean to monitor the Yom Kipper War between Israel and Egypt. Return to the USA and was Discharged. In 1978 I married Connie Clements and had two boys one currently serving as an Apache pilot and the other doing site surveys for fiber optics company. Also in 1978 I became a Law Enforcement Officer serving for 35 years and eventually retiring from that profession. I am currently working as a government security officer. I have a great run.
